Wowza. It's NPAT time.
July 14, 2020
That’s the day I wrote the first word of this version of Name, Place, Animal, Thing.
It’s 206 days since then. Over six months of words, sweat, and tears, with two rewrites, at least twelve rounds of edits, multiple rounds of feedback, and one major post-publishing gaffe I spotted and scrambled to correct just-in-time in the last five days.
And finally…
It’s here. Rather, it’s up there.
**** Name, Place, Animal, Thing is now available ***
It’s in eBook (most countries), Paperback (many countries), and Hardcover (India only) formats. Please do check it out by clicking on the link above; it should automatically take you to the Amazon store closest to you. Do let me know if you run into any issues..
Of course, I’d love it if you bought it, and even more, if you leave an honest review- the sooner the better. Yes, I’m being greedy. I’ll blame it on my desire to appease Amazonian gods. Early reviews greatly help any independent author.
The current record for reading the book at one stretch is 3 hours and 2 minutes. A weekend has 48+ hours. #JustSaying.
A fact and a disclosure:
(1) this is my shortest newsletter so far, and
(2) I hope you don’t mind my breaking our fortnightly schedule for this week? I’ll be emailing you a couple of times with updates about the book!
I’m oh-so-super-excited and can’t wait for you to read the book - unless you already read it if you’re one of the 56 alpha and beta readers who signed up for early access, provided valuable feedback, and many of whom joined the book launch party that we just finished a few minutes ago. There were spoiler alerts and so we only had folks who were already familiar with the book.
I’m really looking forward to creating many more opportunities for us to hang out online - and to seeing you there. I’m thrilled about how the book has become a catalyst for conversation (not that I ever needed one :)
I’ll be back!
